Conflicts of Interest in Scientific Research

"There is no question in my mind that medical researchers, educators, and clinicians have been corrupted by their close and lucrative ties to industry..."  Marcia Angell, former Editor of The New England Journal of Medicine regarding the pharmaceutical industry


The above quote speaks volumes regarding the appalling lack of integrity in scientific research amid numerous competing interests and financial conflicts.  Much has been written on this matter, including but not limited, some very prestigious medical journals.  Below is but a small sample of recent articles.
